Description:4,4'-Dimethylbenzoin is a compound that has been shown to inhibit the growth of cancer cells and act as an antibacterial agent. It is synthesized by the copolymerization of formaldehyde and 4,4'-dimethoxybenzoyl chloride in the presence of sodium chloride.
