Description:
2,6-Difluorobenzoyl chloride is a difluoro compound that reacts with nucleophiles by an electrophilic substitution reaction. It has been shown to inhibit endothelial cell proliferation and to reduce the rate of renin secretion in the kidney through its ability to bind to chloride ions. 2,6-Difluorobenzoyl chloride has been proposed as a potential treatment for chronic kidney disease. 2,6-Difluorobenzoyl chloride is also used as an intermediate in organic synthesis.
