3,5-Diisopropylpyrazole is a hydrogen-bond donor that forms strong interactions with the carboxylate and chloride sites of magnesium. It has been used to synthesize supramolecular structures by analyzing the interaction between 3,5-diisopropylpyrazole and magnesium. This compound has also been used as an analog for other pyrazoles. In addition, it is mononuclear and contains two nitrogen atoms in its structure. The intramolecular hydrogen bonds of 3,5-diisopropylpyrazole are stronger than those of other pyrazoles because of the presence of the isopropyl group in its structure.
