The molecular orbitals of 4,4'-dinonyl-2,2'-bithiazole can be observed using an electrochemical polymerization technique on a polymer film or with electrochemical impedance spectroscopy. This molecule can also be used to replace the trifluoride ion in the electropolymerization of monomers to create polymers.
