1,4-Dibromotetrafluorobenzene (1,4DBTFB) is a fluorinated organic chemical that has a hydrogen-bonding ability. It has been shown to react with nucleophiles such as alcohols and amines to form imine bonds. 1,4DBTFB has been used for the synthesis of glutathione S-transferase inhibitors and as a model system for quantum theory. 1,4DBTFB can also be used for the palladium-catalyzed coupling reaction with an imine substrate. The compound is also known to have functional groups such as fluorine, which makes it highly reactive.
