Description:
3,3-Difluoropentanedioic Acid is a reagent that is used in organic chemistry. It can be hydrolyzed to give 3,3-difluoro-1,2-propanediol. This chemical reacts with dithianes to give 1,2-dithiane and quantitatively produces 3-fluoro-1,2-propanediol. It is an ester of 3,3-difluoropentanedioic acid and has been shown to have antiinflammatory properties in rats.
