Description:

3,6-Difluoro-2-pyrazinecarbonitrile (3,6-DF2C) is a synthetic chemical compound. It is a crystallizing solid with a melting point of 123°C. 3,6-DF2C can be chlorinated to give 2,4-dichloro-3,6-difluoropyridine (2,4-DCFP). 3,6-DF2C undergoes nucleophilic substitution reactions with dipropylamine and dibutylamine. This leads to the formation of 2-(dipropylamino)-3,6-difluoropyridine and 2-(dibutylamino)-3,6-difluoropyridine respectively. The synthesis of 3,6-DF2C can be achieved by reacting tertiary butyl amine with cyanogen chloride in the presence of dichloromethane and water. The imp
