Description:

Furafylline is a drug that is used to treat asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. Furafylline inhibits cytochrome P450 1A2, which is involved in the metabolism of many drugs. Furafylline also inhibits cytochrome P450 2C9, 3A4, and 2D6. Furafylline has been shown to inhibit the activity of natural compounds such as dinucleotide phosphate and chemical inhibitors such as paracetamol. Furafylline has also been shown to have a matrix effect on human liver microsomes.
