Ethyl anthranilate is an aromatic compound that has a kinetic energy of 1.72 kcal/mol and a molecular weight of 134.18 g/mol. The anthranilate moiety has one hydrogen atom on the alpha carbon and two hydrogens on the beta carbon, giving it three possible tautomeric forms: the imine form, the keto form, and the enol form. The imine form is most stable at room temperature, with a phase transition temperature of -8 degrees Celsius. Ethyl anthranilate can be found in many nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, such as ibuprofen and piroxicam.
