Description:Ethyl isonitrosocyanoacetate, generally known as Oxyma or OxymaPure, is an additive used in amide coupling reactions as a racemisation suppressant. Oxyma is a safe alternative to the explosive HOAt and HOBt and is mainly used in combination with the carbodiimides EDCI, DCC or DIC. Oxyma is stable, can be used in solution, solid-phase and microwave-assisted synthesis, has great capacity to inhibit epimerisation, excellent coupling efficiencies and shows no risk of capping the resin or the peptide upon hydrolysis of the ethyl ester.
