Product Information
The mechanistic study of 1-ethynyl-3,5-difluorobenzene is done by using a cross-coupling reaction with an appropriate ligand. It has been found that this compound inhibits the formation of β-glucocerebrosidase, an enzyme that catalyzes the hydrolysis of glucosylceramide to glucose and ceramide. This inhibition is due to its ability to inhibit the enzymatic activity of β-glucocerebrosidase by binding to its active site. The optical properties of this compound are relevant in fluorescence and lysosomal imaging studies.
