N,N'-Ethylenebisoctadecanamide (EBDA) is a chemical compound that aids in the removal of glycol ethers and fatty acids from wastewater. EBDA has been shown to be effective in removing water vapor, hydrochloric acid, food composition, sodium carbonate, glycol esters and particles from wastewater. The chemical stability of EBDA has also been shown to be useful in the treatment of wastewaters containing anionic surfactants such as sodium lauryl sulfate. EBDA is used at concentrations of 0.1-0.5%.
