Brand:Biosynth
Description:1-Ethyl-1H-imidazole-2-carbaldehyde (1EIC) is an aldehyde that belongs to the class of aliphatic aldehydes. It has been shown to be sensitive to electron, tautomeric, and polarizability changes in solvents. 1EIC has also been found to react with nucleophiles and undergoes substitution reactions. 1EIC's UV spectrum is characterized by its maxima at 218 nm, 253 nm, and 293 nm. The regression analysis showed that the solubility of 1EIC was dependent on the solvent used for dissolution. This compound has stereoselective properties due to its ability to produce optical activity when reacted with optically active compounds such as 2-bromobutane or 2-(4-methoxyphenyl)ethanol.
