Description:

Ethyl N-(4-bromophenyl)glycinate is a synthetic intermediate that can be used in the synthesis of amides, esters and carboxylic acids. It is also useful for cross-coupling reactions, such as Suzuki and Heck couplings. This compound may be prepared by the reaction of 4-bromoaniline with ethyl oleate in the presence of copper powder at 190°C.
