Description

Eriodictyol is a natural flavonoid that has been shown to inhibit the activity of the cyclase enzyme. This inhibition prevents production of prostaglandin and thromboxane, which are inflammatory mediators. Eriodictyol has also been shown to have anti-inflammatory activity in experimental models, including inhibition of NF-κB activation, induction of heme oxygenase-1, and suppression of COX-2 gene expression. Furthermore, it has been shown to be effective against oxidative injury in neuronal cells.
