Description:

Ethyl acrylate is an organic compound that belongs to the group of acrylates. It is a colorless liquid with a sweet, fruity odor. Ethyl acrylate is used in the manufacture of polymers and coatings. The significant cytotoxicity and genotoxic activity of ethyl acrylate has been shown using a number of experimental models, including mouse lymphoma cells, human peripheral blood lymphocytes, and various rat lung cell lines. This chemical has also been shown to be thermodynamically stable at high temperatures (up to about 100°C).
