Description:

2-Ethyl-2-imidazoline (2EI) is a chemical compound that is used as a solvent for xylene, zinc powder and other chemicals. It is also used in the production of amides, dodecylbenzenes, epoxy resins and polyurethanes. 2EI has been shown to cause the dehydrogenation of molybdenum. It has been found that 2EI can be synthesized by reacting molybdate with benzotriazole.
