Description:
4-ethoxyphenylthiourea is a substance that has been shown to have antibacterial activity against a variety of bacteria, including Bacillus subtilis. It is soluble in water and has a sweet taste. The compound was found to exhibit no toxic effects in animals when given at the maximum tolerated dose. 4-ethoxyphenylthiourea has also been shown to be an effective control agent for benzene spills, and it is not sensitive to placebos.
