Ethyl N-phenylformimidate is a reactive copper complex that reacts with nucleophiles, such as nitrogen atoms. This chemical can be used in the production of microspheres, which are used in biomedical applications. Ethyl N-phenylformimidate can also be used to produce glycol ethers and anilines from benzene. Ethyl N-phenylformimidate can react with protonated fatty acids to form chloride salts. It is soluble in organic solvents such as benzothiazolium chloride and triethyl orthoformate.
