The magnetic resonance spectroscopy (NMR) spectral data for 4-ethylbenzaldehyde show that this chemical compound contains two methyl groups, one on each side of the benzene ring, with a hydroxyl group on one end. The carbon atoms are bonded together in an alternating pattern of single and double bonds. The molecular formula for 4-ethylbenzaldehyde is C9H10O2.
