Description:
Enterodiol is a lignan that has been shown to have antioxidant and physiological effects in vitro. Enterodiol has also been shown to bind to DNA, which may be due to its ability to inhibit the activity of enzymes such as DNA gyrase and topoisomerase IV. Enterodiol is a precursor for enterolactone, which has been found to have anticarcinogenic effects.
