Effusanin E is a monoclonal antibody that has been shown to inhibit the growth of cancer cells. It binds to the surface of these cells, preventing them from dividing and spreading. Effusanin E also inhibits the production of certain growth factors that are involved in tumor development. Effusanin E is a fetal bovine serum-derived monoclonal antibody with a human IgG1 kappa light chain and a mouse IgG2a heavy chain. It is an oxygenated glycosylated protein with a molecular weight of about 150 kilodaltons. The purified protein does not contain any animal-derived components or animal-derived products in its manufacturing process. Effusanin E can be used as an adjuvant therapy for patients with cancer or other diseases, as it enhances immune functions and suppresses tumor growth by inhibiting the production of certain growth factors.
