Ethyl 7-Chloro-6-Fluoro-4-Hydroxyquinoline-3-Carboxylate is a solvent that belongs to the group of solvents and antimicrobial agents. It is a synthetic compound that has been shown to be active against Gram-positive bacteria, such as Staphylococcus aureus, Enterococcus faecalis and Bacillus subtilis. Ethyl 7-Chloro-6-Fluoro-4-Hydroxyquinoline-3-Carboxylate has also been shown to be active against some fungi, such as Candida albicans. This compound can form an adduct with amines in the presence of formaldehyde or triazole. These reactions have been used to synthesize new drugs with antibacterial activity.
