Product Information
Tributylhexylphosphonium Bromide is a phosphonium salt that can be used as a catalyst in organic synthesis. It has been shown to react with hydrogen gas and form an intramolecular hydrogen bond. Tributylhexylphosphonium Bromide is soluble in organic solvents and is highly reactive, making it a useful catalyst for many reactions. It has been used as a solid catalyst for the production of microspheres, which are spherical particles of metal or other material. When irradiated with UV light, this substance becomes fluorescent, emitting blue-green light. Tributylhexylphosphonium Bromide also reacts with sulfides and copper salts to form copper complexes.
