It has been shown to be active against triticum aestivum, an enzyme preparation derived from wheat. 3-(3-Fluorophenyl)propionic acid also inhibits the growth of bacteria in infected wounds and may be useful for the treatment of infectious diseases such as tuberculosis and malaria.
