• Description: 3-(4-Fluorobenzoyl)propionic acid (3FBP) is a novel, orally active dopamine D4 receptor agonist. 3FBP binds to the D4 receptor with high affinity and has been shown to have potent antinociceptive effects in CD-1 mice. The compound has also been shown to be effective in reducing locomotor activity in rats, as well as inducing motor impairment and catalepsy in mice. 3FBP does not produce any significant changes in striatal dopamine levels, suggesting that it may have a different mechanism of action than traditional dopaminergic drugs.
