Furan-2-sulfonylchloride is a drug that is used to treat scopolamine-induced amnesia. It is classified as a nootropic drug and has been shown to improve memory, attention span, and cognitive function. Furan-2-sulfonylchloride has been shown to have a dose-response curve in which the maximal effect is achieved at a certain dosage. This drug also has the ability to cross the blood brain barrier and inhibit acetylcholinesterase activity, leading to an increase in acetylcholine levels in the brain. Furan-2-sulfonylchloride has been shown to have anti-amnesic properties when combined with piracetam or aniracetam.
