Description

Fmoc-Val-OH is an amino acid that is synthesized in a solid phase synthesis and purified by column chromatography. It has a molecular weight of 168.0 and chemical formula C6H8O2N2S2. Fmoc-Val-OH has been shown to inhibit the enzyme activity of protein phosphatase 1, which is involved in cancer cell proliferation, tumor growth and metastasis. Fmoc-Val-OH is also used as a substrate for peptide synthesis and amide bond formation with various reagents such as trifluoroacetic acid and dicyclohexylcarbodiimide (DCC).
