Product Information
Name:Formic acid-d2
Brand:Biosynth
Description:Formic acid-d2 is a chemical species that can be found in the cavity of an NMR spectrometer. It is a hydrophilic interaction chromatography (HILIC) stationary phase that can be used to separate chemical species based on their hydrophilicity. The hydrogen atom in formic acid-d2 has two possible sites for intramolecular hydrogen bonding, one with the methyl group and one with the carboxylic acid group. Formic acid-d2 has been shown to react in a number of ways, including by forming an electron-deficient species that reacts with nucleophiles, such as dopamine. This reaction mechanism can also be observed in kinetic studies and magnetic resonance spectroscopy experiments.
