Oxfendazole is an anthelmintic drug that acts by inhibiting the synthesis of proteins in the worm's digestive system. It is used to treat nematode infections, such as hookworm, whipworm, and roundworm. Oxfendazole has been shown to be effective in treatment trials on humans and animals. In one study, oxfendazole was given orally or intravenously and showed a concentration-time curve similar to that seen with benzalkonium chloride. The chemical stability of oxfendazole is not affected by trifluoroacetic acid or potassium dichromate. This drug has been developed using LC-MS/MS methods for the analysis of its molecular structure.
