Description:Fludrocortisone acetate is a corticosteroid hormone used in the treatment of a number of diseases, including infectious diseases. Fludrocortisone acetate can be administered orally or by injection. It is also used to treat bowel disease and as an aid to diagnose subarachnoid hemorrhage. The matrix effect of fludrocortisone acetate has been studied using human serum and polymerase chain reactions (PCR). Fludrocortisone acetate is stable at temperatures below its phase transition temperature, but it undergoes degradation at higher temperatures. This drug is not active against bacteria, fungi, viruses, or parasites.
