Description:

2-(2-Fluoro-4-iodoanilino)-3,4-difluorobenzoic acid is a potent and selective allosteric antagonist of the adenosine A2A receptor. It has been shown to reduce blood pressure in rats and mice. 2-(2-Fluoro-4-iodoanilino)-3,4-difluorobenzoic acid has also been shown to increase levels of endogenous adenosine by modulating the activity of adenosine deaminase. This drug has been tested in humans with hypertension and was found to be safe and well tolerated at doses between 25mg and 300mg per day.
