Description:Flurprimidol is a plant growth regulator that inhibits the synthesis of fatty acids and the formation of root hairs. Flurprimidol is effective in inhibiting the growth of perennial ryegrass, which has high resistance to the herbicide. Flurprimidol has been shown to inhibit polymerase chain activity and photosynthetic activity in influenza virus. The optimum concentration for this drug is 0.05 μM with an effective dose of 0.25 μM. Flurprimidol also inhibits monoamine neurotransmitters, such as dopamine, serotonin, and noradrenaline, at concentrations between 10-100 μM.
