This chemical can be used to produce light emission when exposed to water molecules at room temperature. 4-Fluorophenylacetylene is soluble in organic solvents and can be used as a catalyst in homogeneous reactions. It can coordinate with metal ions and has dipole moment, hydrogen bonds, and hydrogen bond donors. 4-Fluorophenylacetylene also exhibits photoelectron activity.
