• Description: Fmoc-p-phenyl-L-phenylalanine (FMPP) is a fluorescent probe that can be used to detect and diagnose damage in tissues. It is a small molecule that has been shown to bind to myocytes and cardiac tissues, specifically targeting skeletal and cardiac muscle. FMPP binds to the amino acid phenylalanine, which is found in high concentrations in cardiac tissue. This binding causes an increase in fluorescence, which can be detected by light microscopy or flow cytometry.
