Product Information
- Fmoc-D-Alanyl Chloride
Fmoc-D-alanyl chloride is a chiral compound that has been shown to have in vitro anticancer activity. It is the first compound to be identified as a potent inhibitor of PAI-1, an enzyme that inhibits the natural degradation of plasminogen. PAI-1 has been implicated in cancer and cardiovascular disease. Fmoc-D-alanine chloride has also been found to have anticancer activity against MCF-7 cells, which are derived from human breast cancer cells. The mechanism of action for Fmoc-D-alanine chloride is not known but may involve its ability to act as a nucleophile or an alkylating agent.
