Description:3-Fluoro-4-nitrobenzoic acid is an organic solvent that is used as a reagent in the synthesis of peptidomimetics. 3-Fluoro-4-nitrobenzoic acid has been shown to be a nucleophilic addition agent, which can react with serine proteases in the presence of benzamidine. This reaction results in the formation of an amide bond between the amino group and carboxylic acid moiety of the serine protease, thereby inhibiting its activity. 3-Fluoro-4-nitrobenzoic acid is also used as a synthetic intermediate for peptides and other organic compounds.
