Fmoc-Thr(tBu)-OPfp is a solid-phase peptide in which the N-terminal amino acid is an azide. The synthesis of Fmoc-Thr(tBu)-OPfp was achieved by activating the resin with piperidine, followed by introduction of the amino acid glycine and subsequent coupling with the side-chain protecting group, t-butyloxycarbonyl (Boc). The final product was cleaved from the resin and purified by HPLC. This product can be used to synthesize peptides that are genetically modified at their amino terminus.
