Fmoc-a-Me-D-Gly(Octenyl)-OH is an activating peptide that has been shown to inhibit the growth of human glioblastomas in vitro and in vivo. This compound is a cyclic hexapeptide that can be used as a chemotherapeutic agent for the treatment of glioma. Fmoc-a-Me-D-Gly(Octenyl)-OH is also able to sensitize glioma cells to temozolomide treatment. Fmoc-a-Me-D-Gly(Octenyl)-OH activates p53, which is a tumor suppressor protein, and causes cell cycle arrest at G2/M phase.
Fmoc-a-Me-D-Gly(Octenyl)-OH inhibits tumor growth by binding to micelles and preventing the release of encapsulated drugs into the cytosol. Fmoc-a Me D
