Product Information
Forsythoside H is a pentacyclic triterpenoid glycoside derived from the leaves of Lonicera japonica. Forsythoside H has been shown to have an antinociceptive effect in mice and rats, as well as in humans. It has also been shown to have an inhibitory effect on influenza virus. Forsythoside H is a potent cyclase inhibitor that prevents the conversion of ATP into cyclic AMP and cAMP-dependent protein kinase A (PKA). The inhibition of cyclase activity suppresses tumor cell proliferation and induces apoptosis. Forsythoside H has been shown to be effective against human hepatocellular carcinoma cells through its anticancer activity, which may be due to its ability to inhibit the synthesis of fatty acid synthase.
