• Description: 20-Fluoromibolerone is a fluorinated analogue of the natural hormone mibolerone. It has been shown to have affinity for prostate tissue and to be selective for cancer cells in vivo, when injected into rats. The uptake of 20-fluoromibolerone into tissues is very high, with preferential accumulation in the liver, kidney and prostate. This drug is metabolized by sulfation and excreted in the urine as sulfate and positron. 20-Fluoromibolerone also has been shown to have a strong affinity for bone, which may be due to its ability to accumulate in bone tissue.
