Product Information
- Undecafluoropiperidine
N-Fluoroperfluoropiperidine is an organofluorine compound used as a reagent in organic synthesis. It is a nucleophilic reagent that reacts with electrophiles to produce fluorinated products. N-Fluoroperfluoropiperidine can be prepared by the reaction of Grignard reagents with perfluoroalkenes or by electrochemical methods. This compound has been shown to be useful in the preparation of amides, esters, and carbonates from alcohols, carboxylic acids, and chloroformates.
N-Fluoroperfluoropiperidine is soluble in water and many organic solvents. The solubility of this chemical increases with the addition of sodium chloride. N-Fluoroperfluoropiperidine has a boiling point of 120°C at atmospheric pressure and decomposes at temperatures above 220°C.
