Description:
3-(4-Fluorophenyl)-1-Propanamine has antibacterial properties that are similar to those of other aromatic aldehydes. It has been shown to have high antibacterial activity against bacteria such as Streptococcus pyogenes, Staphylococcus aureus, and E. coli. 3-(4-Fluorophenyl)-1-Propanamine is not active against Mycobacterium tuberculosis or the mycobacteria that cause leprosy, but it shows good activity against some strains of M. avium complex (MAC). The mode of action is not fully understood; however, it may be due to its ability to act as an inhibitor of protein synthesis in bacteria.
