Volasertib is a drug that inhibits the ATP-binding cassette transporter, which blocks the exit of drugs from cells. It has been shown to have cytotoxicity in a number of cancer cell lines, including t-cell lymphomas, and has been shown to have synergy with other drugs such as miapaca-2 cells and mcl-1 protein. Volasertib has also been shown to have cardiotoxic effects in rats.
