Geiparvarin is a coumarin derivative with antineoplastic properties. It has been shown to have good anti-tumour activity in animal experiments and tumour cell lines, as well as in vitro studies of human cells. Geiparvarin is an enantiopure molecule that interacts with the cellular membrane and inhibits neurotransmission, leading to the death of tumor cells. Geiparvarin also has anti-inflammatory properties, which may be due to its ability to reduce the production of cytokines such as IL-1β and TNF-α.
