Description:Gly-Hyp-OH is a glycosaminoglycan that is a major component of the extracellular matrix. It is found in urine samples and has been shown to be biosynthesized by mammalian cells. Gly-Hyp-OH can be solubilized in water and has been observed to have an NMR spectrum. Gly-Hyp-OH is not cytotoxic to mammalian cells, but does exhibit chemotactic activity towards erythrocytes and fibroblasts. Gly-Hyp-OH also inhibits the proliferation of cancer cells, as well as reducing their metastatic potential, and has been shown to have an inhibitory effect on regulatory T cells.
