• Description: Gly-Gly-Phe-OH is a tripeptide molecule that is a conjugate of l-phenylalanine with two glycylglycine units. It has been shown to bind to the surface of colloidal particles and form complexes with docetaxel. This complex has shown an increased absorption in the near infrared region when compared to the uncharged form. The kinetic analysis of these complexes has shown that the drug release rate (k) was increased by 3.5 times, while the affinity of Gly-Gly-Phe-OH for the colloidal particles (K) was decreased by 4 times when compared to free docetaxel alone.
