Product Information

Name:
Ganoderic acid B
Controlled Product
Description:

Ganoderic acid B is a fatty acid that can be extracted from the mushroom Ganoderma lucidum. It has been shown to inhibit acetylcholinesterase and butyrylcholinesterase, which are enzymes involved in neurotransmission. This compound also inhibits the production of nitric oxide, prostaglandins, and leukotrienes by inhibiting the activation of phospholipases A2 and cyclooxygenases. In addition, it has been shown to have anti-inflammatory effects and may be used for the treatment of symptoms such as dry eye syndrome, lacrimal gland inflammation, or chronic asthma. Ganoderic acid B can be found in some dietary supplements or food products as an ingredient.
