This binding allows for the detection and identification of cancer cells in biological samples. 1OCP can also be used as a diagnostic agent for citrullinemia and mycolic acid synthesis. It is also detectable by antibody response and can be used to study the expression of messenger RNA sequences in mammalian cells.
