Description:4-Hydroxy-3-nitropyridine is an organic chemical compound with the molecular formula CHNO. It has been shown to react with primary amines to form nitrosamines. In its tautomeric form, 4-hydroxy-3-nitropyridine is more reactive and will react with chloride ions to form hydroxylamine. This reaction is used commercially for the synthesis of hydrazine and other products.
